My 3-year-old knocked loose some teeth in a bike crash and her dentist recommended a mouth guard. This was the only one that fit her mouth of all the ones I looked at that claimed to fit little kids. I thought this was a scam because it seemed to be a knock off of a more popular version (Oral Mart), with almost identical wording to Oral Mart but bad grammar and barely any reviews. So I got them both, and it turns out the Oral Mart one didn’t work at all-it was way bigger than advertised, and even cutting it down a bunch, it didn’t fit. Whereas this one fits tiny mouths perfectly. The only downside is, because young mouths are extra sensitive to heat, it was very difficult to mold: when the temperature was low enough to be tolerable for my 3-yr-old, it was too cool to get a really good mold. To be fair, that’s no different than other mouth guards, but since this one specifically fits younger mouths, this problem is good to know. If they could make it moldeable at lower temperature, I would give it a 5.

I bought this product following the age listed. My granddaughter is 8 so I bought her the Kids size for 10 and under. When we received it she could not even get it in her mouth. It might fit 5 year old, but it will not fit a child 10 and under unless they are very small. the next size says 11 and up. I am undecided about ordering again. I was pleased with the quality, but the sizing sucks.

This was a perfect mouth guard for my 5 year old. We purchased this for his Karate and not issues. It was easy to mold as well.

  • Tracy Williams says:

    My son loves this

  • Bethan says:

Moulding was easy however due to the bulk at the front it is impossible to close your mouth over this gumshield which makes it pointless as more likely to get injury to lips in contact situations

  • Amazon Customer says:

I’m really sorry to be leaving this review but I received mine today and I’m not impressed at all. I molded it 3 times and it’s still not comfortable. The front wall is so tough that it doesn’t adhere to my jaw shape that one punch to the face is all it takes to bust open my mouth from the inside. It also doesn’t stick to my teeth no matter how much suction I create so there’s always the chance of it falling out of my mouth if I open my mouth. Once again, im sorry to leave this harsh review but this product is no good.

  • chris says:

Not much I can say but not the best

  • Amazon Customer says:

After reading the reviews I was a little nervous about moulding these, but they did exactly what they were supposed to. Good value as they’re always getting lost!

  • Kaylo says:

    Should have been mouldable

  • Chris says:

This takes about 10 mins to boil, set in your mouth, then rest in ice water.Once done (which is a fairly straightforward exercise), you have a tough mouthguard that is a specific fit for your mouth. Excellent!I have used this in Krav Maga (fortunately not taken a hit yet but this will come I am sure), but it is good having the confidence that my mouth area is protected. This is a Venom product, which means I have confidence in it.I would advise when setting the fit in your mouth, that you bite down as hard as you can and suck all the air out as it sets, so that you get a snug fit that won’t fall out. It does state this in the instructions, just thought I would emphasise it here…

  • Konrad says:

It is my first mouthguard I used in my life and I’m happy with it. While I’m sparing it doesn’t move on teeth, it stick to teeth perfectly. When I’ll need another one probably I’ll pick buy the same one.

  • VPapachR says:

Excellent protection for sparring. Follow the instructions to customize and that’s it.

    Great mouthpiece for hockey

  • Bethany Guy says:

    Ok

  • Hgfdasdnoora says:

Very comfortable and has alot of flavor

  • Fozzie says:

I chose the gold version of this mouthguard in the mistaken belief that it would be better quality. I followed the instructions exactly and, when the mouthguard was moulded it fell out as soon as I opened my mouth. I repeated the moulding process, as directed in the instructions and got the same result. Having a loose mouthguard is of no use in hockey, as it would fall out as soon as you try to communicate! I picked this manufacturer because of the claim that they were World #1 and that my daughter had a well fitted junior version. I now have an expensive lump of plastic that is of no use for anything.

  • sam says:

I’ve tried many mouthguards, this is the most expensive I’ve tried. Of course I read and followed the instructions.Result: Doesn’t fit closely to the teeth, doesn’t stay in the mouth for a second even with mouth only slightly open.Looking at the design it is completely identical to the cheaper opro.I’m not a mouth doctor, but I would say it’s obvious that it’s impossible for this to stay in someone’s mouth when their mouth is open. It just can’t be fitted tightly to the gums, or allow the teeth to go deep enough.

  • Miss G A Williams says:

I’m a female adult who’s taken up boxing so needed a gum shield! This looked good quality!I followed the instructions correctly to mould this to my mouth but it just kept falling out and wouldn’t stay in position for even a second. I repeated the process 3 times but this just made it worse! It’s now in the bin and I’ll need to buy another one!!

  • BB says:

This is a fairly standard boil-and-bite mouthguard. I bought it to tide me over until I could get in to a specialist fitter. It hasn’t really done the job. The moulding hasn’t really held, so it doesn’t sit comfortably in my mouth, instead tending to drop off my teeth. Given I use this for martial arts, it’s not ideal. Not recommended.

  • Amazon Customer says:

Literally followed the instructions on the box.. gum shield went like jelly and was unable to mould it in the mouth!! Worst I’ve ever seen!!

  • M Ms says:

Ordered this gum shield to stop the damage of teeth grinding and I’m so happy with it . Once fitted to fit my teeth it’s comfortable, effective and fits perfectly. Very , very pleased with this gum shield. Highly recommend

  • Bardock says:

Wore this in the Kung Fu Nationals, sidestepped into a right hook – didn’t die. 10/10.

  • Amazon Customer says:

Bought as a replacement for a gumshield that I’ve been using for boxing and TKD. Up until now I’ve used a football gumshield, and I train with some meaty guys, so it got split in half very recently. I ordered this as a replacement and it’s perfect. Takes 14 seconds in hot water to mold to your mouth, and grips your top teeth without having to bite down. Excellent level of protection too.

  • DimSum says:

Bought a Lobloo Slick, which came very quickly in the mail. The overall design of the mouthguard is of good quality, the instructions to how to mold the mouthguard was very simple and easy to do. I messed up a few times on molding it but was able to repeat the process and got it to fit perfectly. The handiness of being able to re-shape or re-mold the mouthguard is very beneficial for first timers who a looking to fit their mouthguard comfortably. The pricing is a bargain for the level of the quality in which the product is made.Overall, a very well designed product that does the Job to a very high level without breaking the bank.

  • Luke says:

By far the best self mouldable guard I’ve had to do for my kids over the years. Moulded well first time. Little carry bag is a nice touch for keeping it separated from his boots in his main bag.

  • timisussex says:

This is my second mouth guard. The other one is a perforated rigid moldable plastic, but much thinner kind, which I can speak and drink with easily, but harsh on the teeth. I was concerned about my enamel, this is why I ordered this softer one.It is soft and easy to mold, but it fills my mouth, especially at the sensitive places at the back of the roof. It has a rubbery flavour to it. The combination of the size and flavour makes me gag.

  • Kierra says:

Great product only problem is the left side doesn’t stay up when I talk but that is most likely the way I set it the instructions are in side the case which I didn’t find until after I set it great product.

  • Andrea Colombo says:

Easy to fit, easy to breath once wearing it and not coming down.Wearing this product during bjj training without issue.

  • Mo says:

I bought it for my son who loves it. The product was packed well and looks nice.

  • Amazon Customer says:

My daughter needed a new mouthguard for footy, i ordered this while shopping at the stores to compare prices, this was considerably cheaper and arrived the next day! It also works really well and was easy to mould

  • Fede says:

    Great product

  • Agnes T. says:

The product description and pictures show a small hole in the mouthguard for the tether, but it does NOT come with a tether, so you will not be able to attach it to the helmet cage.I would not recommend it for ice hockey.
